Square racks have the added convenience of being able to fit almost anywhere, so if you're pressed for space this might be the rack for you. Hanging Pot Rack Hanging Tips

Aligning pot racks with your ceiling joists can be a challenge. If your ceiling joists run parallel with your rack, you can mount it by drilling two holes into the same joist. If your pot rack runs perpendicular to your joists then you need to find another way to hang it. A possible solution may be to use a ceiling plate. A ceiling plate has two eye bolts. They are attached to a plate in which holes are drilled at the same distance apart as your joists. The ceiling plate is mounted into the ceiling and the rack hangs from the plate.

    In our old kitchen we had an 18 x 36 rack on the ceiling above the sink. We just did a kitchen remodel and are now limited on the space available to hang a pot rack. This was the only one we found that fit our space and gave us enough hanging area. However,the j hooks are so wide open that the chains can pop out with any movement. We had to squeeze them with a channel lock just to make sure it won't fall off the ceiling. The grid does not sit squarely on all four hooks designed to hold it. The 8 big shiny hooks designed to hang on the side bars slide up and off whenever you take a pot off. We are using the side hooks from our old pot rack instead.

          Just what we were looking for. The size is appropriate when space is an issue. Very sturdy while attractive. The hardest part is finding an area that works along with the stud placement. The upper shelf is pretty useless if you have standard ceilings; in that to have it low enough for function, my husband would be bumping his head even more than he is now, currently having it just a few inches below the ceiling. It is an obstacle to get used to for him at this point. I have all of my stainless steel pans, except for my extra tall and large soup/spaghetti pots; ten for the moment with room for maybe four more if thoughtfully arranged.
